The 2008 St. Louis
Rams were 31st in points scored with14.5 per game.
The Rams finished 27th in total yards, 26th in passing
yardage and 25th in rushing yardage. Marc Bulger
had his second straight awful year finishing 30th in QB
rating and throwing for more than 230 yards in only 2
games. Marc threw for only 11 touchdowns for the second
consecutive year. There is no way the Rams can compete
with that type of effort. Steven Jackson finished
12th in the NFL with 1042 yards rushing while playing in
only 12 games for the second straight year. Jackson held
out in training camp and he never seemed to recover. The
Rams feed off his energy and he needs to find a way to
play 16 games in 2009. Torry Holt led the
Rams in receiving yards with 796 yards but was never
really a factor. Donnie Avery had a nice rookie
year with 674 yards and showed that he has top NFL
speed.
